SmartStor Fusion Stream DLNA Digital Media App App Reviews

A great alternative to play media on my GoFlex Satellite since it lists music by artist or album, creates playlists, and plays music in the background.

App needs mkv Avi and mpeg support. Also when watching hi def videos, 1080p, the video is slightly shifted to the left leaving a black bar on the right of the screen. Ive tried every streaming app like this on the AppStore and this is the only one that plays my hd files without skipping or freezing but definitely needs some work and more video formats supported.

Would be 5 stars if it could also stream AVCHD

This App is awesome…It plays my media files from my My Book World Server….Awesome!!! Interface is ancient but the App works and is free for now…Five star in my book.

Loaded music from my smart phone. But now does not recognize format ( mp3) and will not play.

Formats I tried that failed: mp3 mp4 ogg wav mpeg avi mkv.

I can connect to my PC with Windows Media Player fine and stream from it as well as control it. But the UI is terribly clunky. An amazing number of taps are needed to get things done, as what you want to do gets buried under a ton of menus and confirmations to make.

Doesnt support FLAC audio, so there doesnt seem to be much point keeping this, free or not.

All my vid files are avi,mp4, even some Mt2s but this app only plays Mkv files the one file system I dont use because my PS3 and other Media servers dont read it. Would raise to 5 stars if supported more file types, this app finds all my vid files even some other DNLA apps miss it just wont play them you are halfway there to having a great app.

It sees all my avi and Mkv files, but cant play any of them.

Used with PS3 media server Tested with a well organized hierarchy of folders/files. Results: <server>/Audio/Literature/ "No files found"

The app exitsfrequently withoutan error and highspeed scrubbing does not work while watching a video. Could be a great app, but still needs to resolve a few flukes.

App connected fine to my network and connected to all devices.....unfortunately, it did not recognize my VOB files. 2 stars for now until it has VOB compatibility.

Looks like it only plays mp4 videos. No avi or or wmv.

Has an above average tendency to crash after opening a server source. AirPlay only works for audio (no video). Clean UI and clever playlist construct. The ability to download media for local playback is a bonus but please get the core streaming stable and full video out AirPlay.

I have other apps which will play anything but this app seems only plays mp4 video format. Wish it can play more formats otherwise the app is seamless.

Works better than another app I was using. But cant recommend it to friends when it lacks .avi support. Hopefully in the future.

Does not work with mthtv, other 5 * apps do.

Works well with PS3 Media Server.

This basically let you browse and play songs from your windows media server. Screen navigation is decent but it doesnt support any music control from bluetooth head phone (also, no next / previous control in the apps). Its good for checking out a DLNA server operation. Also, it can only play native video file format (no AVI).
